While we cannot shield everyone from the storms of life, we seek to support families and individuals through the hard times together with the Social Service Office and other Social Service Agencies.

Our Schemes:

Interim Support

Interim Support Scheme

Objective: To help families and individuals tide through financial stress while awaiting disbursements from public assistance schemes.

Amount: Up to $200 per disbursement

Period of support: Up to 3 Months

Who can apply: Social workers on behalf of their clients

Fresh Start

Fresh Start Scheme

Objective: To use a one-time capital fund to help families break out of chronic poverty and bring about change to their economic circumstances.

Amount: Up to $2,000 per disbursement

Period of support: Up to 3 Months

Who can apply: Social workers on behalf of their clients

Community

Support

Community Support Scheme

Objective: To provide support for families residing in the vicinity of our centres. Type of support include referrals, counselling or financial assistance.

Amount: Up to $300 per disbursement

Period of support: Up to 12 Months

Who can apply: Families residing within the same postal code as our centres (currently HOJ Mountbatten [postal code starting with ‘391’ and HOJ Tampines [postal code starting with ‘520’])

The above are some of the schemes which we have in place for the community.

There are qualifying criteria for each scheme in order for us to make socially responsible allocation decisions.
